Upper Midwest Conference Lost and Found Policy
A “Lost and Found” is available at all Upper Midwest Cru conferences. Lost or mislaid items are turned in to the conference Information Desk. Items can be retrieved by contacting the Information Desk. If there is no information desk, lost and found items are turned in to the conference office/staff and may be retrieved by contacting conference staff. Where possible, lost and found items will be displayed for easy retrieval during the last hours of any event.
Information Desk and conference staff members reserve the right to “open,” physically or electronically any book, wallet, journal, or electronic device in search of information that would lead to reuniting owner and item.
Lost and Found items will be held at the Upper Midwest Regional Office for a period ending no less than:
- One calendar month from the close of the event (for items with an estimated value less than $100)
- Three calendar months from the close of the event (for items with an estimated value of $100 or more)
Items can be claimed/retrieved during this period by contacting UpperMidwest@cru.org. After this time, unclaimed items become property of Cru Upper Midwest Region and may be sold, auctioned, donated, or otherwise used at the discretion of the conference director(s).
Note: Items found in areas accessible to the general public may have been turned into the hosting venue. If so, the venue’s Lost and Found Policy applies while the lost item is in possession of the venue.
